On Tuesday 3rd March, Le Rondin singers and signers took to the stage once more to dazzle the Guernsey audiences with their superb singing and signing in the Junior School Age, Special Needs class.
They were awarded a mark of 86 and the adjudicator, Ray Robinson, noted:
1) Bugs and Butterflies
You arranged yourselves beautifully on the stage. You remembered all the words and demonstrated your story with lots of good [signing]. I heard changes in dynamics/volume with loud and sifts to add variety. Your sense of rhythm is good, and melody coming on well.
2) Love can rule the world
Right from the beginning you conveyed meaning behind the words e.g. "holding someone's hand" and "love". Your story was well told. Melody developing well, and a confident sense of performance."
The Eisteddfod identifies a mark of 86 as an honours: "An excellent performance demonstrating fluent technical and artistic skills with emerging individuality"
Congratulations to all involved!
This year, we marked our 20th anniversary at the Eisteddfod. Pupils worked on a collaborative piece based on all the different things we enjoy at school.
Our entry was graded as an honours, with the adjudicator commenting:
"I especially love the photography and drawing portraits! Lovely creative art work. Well done everyone! : )"
